15th October, 2021: North American Scrap Metal Prices Witnessed Notable Surge on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper and aluminum scrap prices continued to surge higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on October 15^th, Friday. Stainless Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were up on Index. Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged on Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.10 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.10 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.10 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery were up by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices went higher by $0.02 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.10 per Lb.

Copper Radiator prices were up by $0.02 per Lb.

Copper Transformer and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices held steady on October 15^th, 2021.

Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices were flat on Index.

Cu Yokes prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery, Heater cores and Romex Wire prices were up by $0.02 per Lb each on Index.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed units were unchanged from previous day price levels.

Starters and Xmas Lights prices witnessed no change on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were up by $0.01 per Lb on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were up by $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions increased by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions were up by $0.02 per Lb and $0.01 per Lb respectively when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe recorded no change on Index. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices were up by $0.01 per Lb over the day. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices too increased by $0.01 per Lb each on October 15^th, 2021.

Chrome Wheels and E.C Aluminum Wire prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively over the previous day.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Litho Sheets and MLC Clips surged by $0.01 per Lb from previous day’s levels.

The prices of Old Cast, Old Sheet and Painted Siding were up by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.

Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle and #1 Busheling prices held steady over the previous day.

The prices #1 HMS witnessed no change on 15^th October, 2021.

HMS 80/20, Sheet Metal and Shredded Auto Scrap prices too remained unmoved on Index.

Structural Steel reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.

 Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices reported no change on Index.

301 SS, 304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb each on October 15^th, 2021.

309 SS and 310 SS prices surged higher by $0.02 per Lb on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were up by $0.03 per Lb from the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region soared on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap and 85/15 Brass Scrap scrap prices were up by $0.02 per Lb each on October 15^th, 2021.

Brass Radiator prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

Brass Radiator /Fe prices and Brass Radiator Ends saw no change in prices over the day.

Red Brass, Yellow Brass and Rod Borings prices increased by $0.02 per Lb each on Index.
