15th January, 2021: North American Scrap Metal Prices Declined on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices recorded slight decline on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on January 15^th, Friday. Aluminum, Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices saw no change on Index. Meantime, Brass and Bronze scrap reported marginal decline in prices over the previous day.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap edged lower by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing declined by $0.07 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.07 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright edged lower by $ 0.07 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery dipped by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were down by $0.01 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices inched lower by $0.07 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiators inched lower by $0.01 per Lb.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes prices too were down by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe remained flat on January 15^th, 2021.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices dipped by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

Romex Wire and Heater Cores prices were down by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights reported no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were steady on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on January 15^th, 2021.

Chrome Wheels and remained flat on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat over the previous day.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on 15^th January, 2021.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on January 15^th, 2021.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region declined marginally on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap and 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices reported decline by $0.02 per Lb each on Friday, January 15^th, 2021.

80/20 Brass Scrap, Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.
