10th September, 2021: North American Scrap Metal Prices Surged on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper and aluminum scrap prices continued to surge higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on September 10^th, Friday. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were up on Index. Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap witnessed a jump by $0.01 per Lb on Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.15 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.15 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.15 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery were up by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too increased by $0.02 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.15 per Lb.

Copper Radiator prices were up by $0.03 per Lb.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb.

Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices increased by $0.03 per Lb on September 10^th, 2021.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices were up by $0.02 per Lb and $0.03 per Lb respectively on Index.

The price of Romex Wire witnessed a jump by $0.03 per Lb over the day.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights witnessed  a jump by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were up by $0.02 per Lb on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were up by $0.02 per Lb each.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions increased by $0.02 per Lb over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions were up by $0.03 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe inched higher by $0.03 per Lb on Index. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices were up by $0.01 per Lb each. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb each on September 10^th, 2021.

Chrome Wheels and E.C Aluminum Wire prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb and $0.03 per Lb respectively over the previous day.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Litho Sheets and MLC Clips surged by $0.02 per Lb from previous day’s levels.

The prices of Old Cast, Old Sheet and Painted Siding were up by $0.02 per Lb each over the previous day.

Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices were up by $0.02 per Lb over the day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat over the previous day.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on 10^th September, 2021.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.

 Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on September 10^th, 2021.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region soared on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator prices were up by $0.03 per Lb each on September 10^th, 2021.

Brass Radiator /Fe prices and Brass Radiator Ends edged higher by $0.01 per Lb each over the day.

Red Brass, Yellow Brass and Rod Borings prices increased by $0.03 per Lb each on Index.
