Swedish crude steel production touch one-year high in May

According to recent statistics released by the Swedish Steel Producers' Association (Jernkontoret), the country’s crude steel production touched a one-year high during the month of May this year
STOCKHOLM (Scrap Monster) : According to recent statistics released by the Swedish Steel Producers' Association (Jernkontoret), the country’s crude steel production touched a one-year high during the month of May this year.
As per Jernkontoret data, the total crude steel output by Sweden during May 2013 totaled 404,500 metric tons. The monthly crude steel output during May has increased by 1.15% in comparison with the previous month to touch a 12-month high. Upon comparison with the crude steel output during same month a year before, the output by the country during May has declined marginally by 0.3%.
Sweden’s crude steel production during the first five months of the year totaled 1.9 million mt, which is 9.4% lower compared to the output recorded during same period the previous year.
