WASHINGTON (Scrap Monster) : The Missouri-based Pennex Aluminum Company has given a new life to the Greenville aluminum casting facility in Mercer county which has been remaining idle for almost five years now.
Pennex Aluminum Company has taken 40,000 square feet of the old Werner Ladder building in Greenville from the owners ILSCO Extrusions for lease. The facility will produce aluminum billets which would be fed to ILSCO Extrusions. ILSCO would use these aluminum billets to roll out electrical components which will be mainly used by automotive and construction industry.
Pennex is reported to have invested around $3.5 billion to commission the facility. The casting facility has already employed 22 people. The company intends to provide employment opportunity to another 9 people at the earliest.
ILSCO looks forward to a long-term relationship with Pennex in the delivery of quality products to assist their production operations.
It is only recently that Sharon Tube-the service leader in the precision tubing industry, expanded its Wheatland facility with additional investment of $45 million, thereby adding 15 new jobs.
