ERI partners with UN Foundation's Girl Up campaign

The leading electronics recycler Electronic Recyclers International (ERI) has joined hands with the Girl Up campaign by the United Nations Foundation (UNF)

WASHINGTON (Scrap Monster) : The leading electronics recycler Electronic Recyclers International (ERI) has joined hands with the Girl Up campaign by the United Nations Foundation (UNF) .

The partnership between ERI and UNF was announced at the second annual Girl Up Leadership Summit held in nation’s capital, Washington D.C between June 10 and 12. During the summit, the ERI Chairman and CEO John Shegerian handed over to Girl Up Director Melissa Hillebrenner a check of $10,000-the proceeds from a e-waste collection event recently held in New York. The recycling event held in New York was reported to be a huge success.

The partnership program makes use of BuyBackTech- an online platform to recycle used electronics. The profits from all refurbished items through the Girl Up campaign will be utilized towards the welfare of girls worldwide. The campaign offers people of the country, a unique opportunity to empower the girls around the world while recycling electronic waste in the most environmentally responsible manner.
