The Indian steelmakers have imported iron ore from South Africa due to high prices of local offers.
MUMBAI (Scrap monster): The Indian steelmakers have imported iron ore from South Africa due to high prices of local offers.
In this March, Essar Steel has appointed South African Kumba Iron ore as its supplier. Also, Essar Steel has purchased around 1.15 million tons of lump ores from Kumba Iron Ore.
The Indian steel mills have turned to purchase overseas iron ore as the local offer prices have increased.
