Russia scrap exports rose by 40.3% year-on-year to 440,000 metric tons in August this year, as per latest government data. It is the highest level since this year.
MOSCOW (Scrap Monster): Russia scrap exports rose by 40.3% year-on-year to 440,000 metric tons in August this year, as per latest government data. It is the highest level since this year.
In August, Turkey was the largest importer of the Russian scraps with 233,000 tons, advanced by 44.8% year-on-year.
In the first eight months of this year, Russia’s scrap exports totaled 2.833 million tons, increased by 13.5% in comparison of that in the same period of the previous year.
In the given period of time, Turkey was the largest importer of the Russian scraps with 1.425 million tons, up by 2.8% year-on-year; South Korea was the second largest one with 569,000 tons, advanced by 51.1% year-on-year; Spain was the third largest one with 260,000 tons, dropped by 15.5 year-on-year.
