The US steel mills have cut the prices of steel long products through reducing the scrap surcharge for steel long products as the scrap base prices dropped by US$47/long ton in the US domestic market.
WASHINGTON (Scrap Monster): The US steel mills have cut the prices of steel long products through reducing the scrap surcharge for steel long products as the scrap base prices dropped by US$47/long ton in the US domestic market.
Nucor, one of the largest steel producers in the United States, cut its prices of steel long products by US$25~US$40/short ton, effective form October 11st.
The firm reduced its prices for medium section steels and small section steels by US$30/short ton and US$40/short ton. Also, it cut the prices for deformed steel bars by US$25/short ton.
