Brazil flat Steel exports decline 15.5% m-o-m in Aug

Brazil's flat rolled steel exports advanced sharply by 50.7% year-on-year to 169,500 metric tons (mt) in September this year but declined 15.5% month-on-month, as per the preliminary statistics provided by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
BRASILIA (Scrap Monster): Brazil's flat rolled steel exports advanced sharply by 50.7% year-on-year to 169,500 metric tons (mt) in September this year but declined 15.5% month-on-month, as per the preliminary statistics provided by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
The revenue generated by these exports in September this year totaled $136.8 million, fell by 18% month-on-month and up 14.8% over the September 2011 level.
