Russia's iron ore exports declined by 3.9% year-on-year to 16.89 million mt in the January-August period of the current year, worth a total of $1.762 billion, down 13% year-on-year, as per the latest statistics released by the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).

MOSCOW (Scrap Monster): Russia's iron ore exports declined by 3.9% year-on-year to 16.89 million mt in the January-August period of the current year, worth a total of $1.762 billion, down 13% year-on-year, as per the latest statistics released by the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).

According to the statistics, in the January-August period, Russian exports of coal increased by 23% year-on-year to 83.7million mt, worth a total of $8.711 billion, up 30.7% year-on-year.

In the given period, Russia exported 1.392 million mt of coke and semi-coke, up 21.2% year-on-year, worth a total of $346.6 million, up 1.3% year-on-year.
