Japan's ferroalloy imports advanced sharply by 3.1% year-on-year to 1.16 million metric tons in the first eight months of this year, as per latest statistics released by the Japan's Ministry of Finance.
TOKYO (Scrap Monster): Japan's ferroalloy imports advanced sharply by 3.1% year-on-year to 1.16 million metric tons in the first eight months of this year, as per latest statistics released by the Japan's Ministry of Finance.
According to the ministry, country's ferroalloy imports rose by 21.3% month-on-month to 185,881 metric tons (mt) in August this year and advanced 16.1% year-on-year.
Japan's ferroalloy imports from South Africa rose slightly by 0.3% year-on-year to 47,644 mt in August this year while its imports from China advanced by 12.1% year-on-year to 30,755 mt.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's ferroalloy exports to Japan in August fell by 5.4% year-on-year to 29,985 mt.
