JFE Steel to launch high tensile Steel sheet for automotive production

JFE Steel Corporation has announced the launch of JAG (JFE Advanced Guard), an excellent oxidation- and corrosion-resistant coated steel sheet for hot press forming that reduces the weight of automotive structural parts.

TOKYO (Scrap Monster): JFE Steel Corporation has announced the launch of JAG (JFE Advanced Guard), an excellent oxidation- and corrosion-resistant coated steel sheet for hot press forming that reduces the weight of automotive structural parts.

The company has developed different types of high strength steel sheets with excellent formability for easily press forming process during the production line.

The high tensile steel sheet has to meet the requirement such as to enhance safety and to reduce the weight of vehicles in order to improve the fuel efficiency in first place.

JFE Steel planned to use this steel for automobile production in the near future.
