Mexico's silver and copper output advanced sharply in May this year, as per latest figures released by INEGI, National Statistics Institute.
MEXICO CITY (Scrap Monster): Mexico's silver and copper output advanced sharply in May this year, as per latest figures released by INEGI, National Statistics Institute.
According to INEGI data, country's silver production rose sharply by 18.6% year-on-year to 420,629 kg as strong prices continued to spur production.
Mexico's copper production gained by 4.2% year-on-year to 35,911 tons in May this year as production increased at the massive Buenavista mine -- formerly known as Cananea -- following a three-year strike that ended in 2010.
