Germany's Crude Steel output gains sharply in May: WV Stahl

Germany's crude steel output rose by 9.7% year-on-year to 3.7 million metric tons in May and up by 3.1% month-on-month, as per latest data released by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl).
BERLIN (Scrap Monster): Germany's crude steel output rose by 9.7% year-on-year to 3.7 million metric tons in May and up by 3.1% month-on-month, as per latest data released by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl).
According to WV Stahl, country's crude steel production in the first five months of this year fall by six percent year-on-year to 18.16 million metric tons.
On the other hand, Germany's total hot rolled steel product output amounted to 3 million metric tons in April, down by 9.7 percent year-on-year, including 2 million metric tons of flat steel products - down 13.6 percent year-on-year, and 1 million metric tons of long steel products - down 1.4 percent year-on-year.
