Global unwrought Aluminum stocks dip 80,000 mt Y-o-Y in April: IAI

Global unwrought aluminum inventories at the end of April this year declined 80,000 metric tons from April 2011 but increased 63,000 metric tons from March, as per latest figures released by the International Aluminium Institute (IAI).

LONDON (Scrap Monster): Global unwrought aluminum inventories at the end of April this year declined 80,000 metric tons from April 2011 but increased 63,000 metric tons from March, as per latest figures released by the International Aluminium Institute (IAI).

According to IAI, unwrought inventories totaled 1.454 million metric tons at the end of April, up from a revised 1.391 million metric tons a month earlier but down from 1.534 million metric tons at the end of April 2011.

Total aluminum inventories at the end of April were up 77,000 metric tons at 2.406 million metric tons from a revised 2.329 million metric tons in March, but down 181,000 metric tons from 2.587 million metric tons a year earlier, the IAI concluded.
