Argentina Crude Steel production rises in Jan-Mar: Argentina's Chamber of Steel

Argentina crude steel production rose by 5.5% year-on-year to 1.3 million metric tons in the first quarter of this year, as per latest data released by Argentina's Chamber of Steel.

BUENOS AIRES (Scrap Monster): Argentina crude steel production rose by 5.5% year-on-year to 1.3 million metric tons in the first quarter of this year, as per latest data released by Argentina's Chamber of Steel.

According to the steel chamber, country's crude steel production advanced sharply by 10.4% month-on-month in March to 496,700 metric tons and up by 5.4% year-on-year.

Argentina's total hot rolled steel product production increased by 10% year-on-year to
1.15 million metric tons in the first three months of this year, including production of 563,700 metric tons of hot rolled flat steel products, down by 19.3% year-on-year and 584,300 metric tons of long steel products, increased by 1.1% year-on-year.

Steel chamber also stated that, country's cold rolled flat steel product production in the first quarter this year declined by 8.3% year-on-year to 328,100 metric tons.
