LUSAKA (Scrap Monster): First Quantum Minerals is planning to list its shares on the Zambian bourse by July, as part of its strategy to target expansion in the fast-growing African country.
The company decided to list in Zambia as Zambians form the major share holders of the company.
First Quantum's current operations are the Kansanshi copper-gold mine in Zambia and the Guelb Moghrein copper-gold mine in Mauritania.
The company's shares are already listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange (FQM.L: Quote), Reuters reported.
