According to CMC, the acquisition will give the company a new presence in Victoria, the strongest market for processed steel in Australia.

CMC believes that it is a great strategic fit for the company and will provide growth opportunity to enhance its existing national long products distribution investments in Australia. 

Commercial Metals Company and subsidiaries manufacture, recycle and market steel and metal products. It also provides the related materials and services through a network including steel minimills, steel fabrication and processing plants.
