DETRIOT (Scrap Monster): Exciting recycling program giving cash to consumers in return of their used cameras and electronics has been started by Eastman Kodak Co.

Kodak’s Trade-In and Recycling Program will accept used electronic products from any brand including printers, digital cameras, digital video cameras and digital picture frames, in addition to camera accessories such as lenses and flashes.

After providing information of their products, consumers will receive an instant quote and a pre-paid shipping label. If Kodak accepts the trade-in, consumers will receive a check and a discount offer from Kodak’s online store. Also, for products with no resale value, consumers will be given various recycling options.

Ashland, Va.-based SMASH Direct LLC, which provides online trade-in programs, is the partner for the Kodak recycling program. The program will help consumers to safely and responsibly dispose of electronic products they no longer use.
