Jem Jewelers was founded in 1978 by Joseph Ermigiotti, a master bench jeweler and William Heinz, a diamond broker and jewelry wholesaler. At the time of Bill's retirement a young energetic Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Graduate Gemologist became Joe’s partner. His name is Steven Petrillo. In 2005, Joe sold his remaining shares to Steve, making him the sole owner. From 2005 to present day, Steve has made Jem Jewelers one of Southeastern Pennsylvania’s most successful prominent jewelry stores. Steve has pledged to keep the integrity of Jem Jewelers offering quality designer styles at affordable prices. In 2011, Steve’s niece Lisa Marie Petrillo, also a GIA Graduate Gemologist, has joined his staff making Jem Jewelers truly a family jewelry store. Jem Jewelers staff includes GIA Graduate Gemologists, GIA Graduate Jewelers, GIA Accredited Jewelry Professionals and experienced sales people and craftsmen. Steve, Lisa Marie, and staff have many energetic, aggressive plans to continue making Jem Jewelers the spotlight of the jewelry industry.

Jem Jewelers has succeeded by representing quality brands and providing honest services to all our customers. We are proud, long time members of the Jewelers of America Association (JA). JA requires high ethical standards of all of their members. We also take part in the Kimberly Process, ensuring that all of our customers receive genuine conflict free diamonds. Jem Jewelers designs and manufactures most of our jewelry in our full service workshop located on premises. Our in-house staff of Graduate Gemologists, Jewelers, and designers provide exceptional repair and custom design services.

Repairs
Jem Jewelers understands that the security of your jewelry is of utmost importance. We have the largest on-site jewelry repair facility in the Bucks and Montgomery counties. The jewelry is kept in our secure location and is worked on by the finest of jewelry crafts people. Our staff consists of 3 on-site GIA jewelers each specializing in different areas such as stone setting, wax carving, engraving, ring sizings, and other aspects of jewelry work. Everything from a simple chain solder to custom work and intricate ring restorations is done on location.
By completing the work in-house, Jem Jewelers is able to finish the work in a timely manor and at a great value. Rings should be cleaned and inspected at least once every six months to avoid losing a gemstone. We are happy to offer complimentary cleaning and stone checking while you are in the store. You can trust that your complete satisfaction is our goal. We will handle each repair with the attention and care you have come to know at Jem Jewelers since 1978.

Appraisals
A Jewelry Appraisal is among the most important documents you will ever acquire. A trained professional can provide accurate information and reliable documentation of the quality and value of your jewelry. Jem Jewelers is staffed with trained and experienced Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Graduate Gemologists and appraisers.
We appraise all kinds of jewelry including Diamonds, Gemstones, Estate Jewelry, Watches, and anything else you can think of! If you have not had your jewelry appraised in the past 5 years, we recommend that you do so soon in case of loss. Appraisals are free of charge on items purchased at Jem Jewelers.
