Aluminum Litho Sheet Scrap shall consist of new, clean lithograph sheets. It may consist of 1000 or 3000 series alloys, but must be free of paper, plastic, excessively inked sheets and any other contaminants. The sheets must have minimum size of 3” in any direction.
Litho sheets are used mainly by printing industry. Aluminum is the material of choice for lithographic sheets, mainly on account of its lesser weight and increased recyclability. The printing process requires high quality litho sheets.
As per the latest Scrap Specifications Circular 2017 released by the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), Aluminum Litho Sheet Scrap is classified under the ISRI Code ‘Tabloid’.
