Specified Technical Sales Ltd., founded at Calgary, Alberta in 1999, proudly provides and manufactures quality HVAC water treatment products and services.

Plastic Recycling Program

In an effort to reduce the number of plastic containers that end up in the city landfill, Specified Technical Sales Ltd. & GE Water & Process Technologies have teamed up to organize a recycling program for their customers in the Calgary area.We can arrange to pick up your clean, empty plastic containers, OR you can drop them off at our receiving department: #214, 3750 46 Ave SE, Calgary AB, T2B 0L1 during our regular business hours Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm.Arrangements can be made for a courier to pick up plastics, from your business, for a nominal fee of approximately $35.00, within Calgary city limits. Maximum # of pails, per pick up, is currently, limited to 60 pails or 12 drums.

Glycol Recycling Program

In an effort to reduce the discharge of glycols to the sewer system, Specified Technical Sales Ltd. has teamed up with a local recycler to remove and recycle ethylene and propylene glycols for re-use in other industries.We can arrange bulk removal or can accept drums containers, at our Calgary receiving department: #214, 3750 46 Ave SE, Calgary AB, T2B 0L1 during our regular business hours Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm.Arrangements must be made in advance and minimal charges may apply for this service.

GARAGE SALE ITEMS

We have 2 LMI Series L722-45 diaphragm chemical feed pumps for sale. These pumps are older models but are unused. One pump failed to operate properly when originally delivered so they were both returned and the one was repaired. Both have a time delay clutch style speed controller and manual stroke adjustment. 125 psi and 70 GPH, 120 vac.with polypropylene or nylon heads. Connections are 3/4 NPT. Check valves not included. These pumps were well over $5000 each new. Both pumps will go for $1000 each or $1500 as a set. (OBO)

Molybdate Removal System

Specified Technical Sales Ltd., with a government of Canada grant, has developed and fabricated our “Molybdate Removal System” to effectively remove molybdate from closed loop HVAC systems. Molybdate is an effective corrosion inhibitor for closed loop systems (hot and cold) but government discharge limits are reducing its popularity. With the recommended level of sodium molybdate in systems at 60-100 ppm, any release could exceed the typical 5 ppm discharge limit. For this reason, many building owners and managers are now requesting to remove the molybdate in exchange for a more environmental friendly technology. This system was developed to remove molybdate from the water, online, at operating temperature and pressure. Once it is removed, the organic Corrshield OR4407 is the product of choice to be added for corrosion ongoing protection.

Based on an accurate system volume and existing molybdate concentration, the amount of specially chosen ion exchange resin, can be calculated. An accurate system volume is attained by lithium tracer testing prior to performing the molybdate removal. Samples are taken throughout the process of the system and the output of the molybdate removal system. When the system concentration falls below 5 ppm the removal is accepted as complete.
