US West Coast Copper Scrap Prices clambers up, Stainless Steel slides down

MONTREAL (Scrap Monster) : The USA West Coast Copper Scrap Prices reported a positive up move today on October 4^th Friday as on the Scrap Monster Price Index.

Copper price

The Alternator Scrap Price had a marginal up move by $ 0.01 per Lb at $ 0.67 per Lb. The major rise were reported in the prices of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing which increased by $ 0.03 per Lb and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing which increased by the same 0.03 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went up by $ 0.03 per Lb at $ 3.24 per Lb. A slight rise of $ 0.01 per Lb was seen in the price of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85 % Recovery, while the #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50 % Recovery showed no change at all. There was also change reported in the price of #3 Copper – Light Copper which rose by $ 0.02 per Lb today. Other items in the Copper Scrap category like Copper Radiators, Copper Transformer Scrap, Heater Cores, Sealed Units etc were not touched by any changes over the day.

Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel showed minor Scrap price changes in almost all items. The prices of 201 SS and 301 SS moved up by $ 0.01 per Lb each. The prices of 304 SS Solid as well as 304 SS Turning rose by the same $ 0.01 per Lb each. Rise by $ 0.02 per Lb was reported in the price of 309 SS and rise by $ 0.03 per Lb was reported in the price of 310 SS. 316 SS Solid Scrap Price increased by 0.02 per Lb and 330 SS scrap price increased by $ 0.03 per Lb respectively.
