US H1 scrap average price held steady at $199.17 per long ton

ALBANY (Scrap Monster): The US H1 scrap average prices were at $199.17 per long ton, as on 5^th October, 2015. The prices have remained flat when compared with the previous week.

The average price of US H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia was $199.17 per long ton, remaining flat when compared with the previous week. The scrap prices had averaged at the same price during the week ended 28^th September, 2015.

The H1 scrap average price in Pittsburg was $199.50 per long ton.  The average price held steady when compared with the previous week’s price. In Chicago the prices averaged at $214.50 per long ton. The prices here too remained flat when matched with the previous week. The average price in Philadelphia was $183.50 per long ton. The prices here witnessed no change when compared with the week before.

Meantime, the weekly crude steel dropped marginally by 0.5% during the week from September 26^th to October 3^rd. The output declined by 8,000 short tons to 1.727 million short tons during the week.
