Two Yorktown men caught for stealing scrap metal

WILLIAMSBURG (Scrap Monster): A pair from Yorktown was arrested for allegedly trying to steal metal from a scrap metal business in Williamsburg area. The two men were arrested Friday morning following complaint from local resident.

The two men were identified as Aaron Lamont Allen, 25, and Willie Bernard Rose III, 22.

The two men are said to have made an entry into the scrap site through the fence at the rear side of the business. A nearby resident who heard drilling noise inside the business property, reported to the police. The police found a truck which belonged to the scrap thieves, parked near the fence. The two men were arrested from inside the scrap yard.

According to Police reports, the two men face a felony charge of breaking and entering.

The scrap metal facility located in the 200 block of York Street is said to be under renovation currently.
