Taiwan's major wire rod producers keep prices flat for April

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): Major Taiwanese wire rod manufacturers-Yieh Hsing and Quintain Steel has decided to leave the April prices for carbon steel wire rods unchanged. Earlier, Feng Hsin had also announced its decision to keep the prices for wire rods and bars flat for the month.

According to company press release by Yieh Hsing Enterprise Co., the list price for A1-killed steel wire rod for the month of April this year will be kept unchanged at NT$ 18,700 per ton. The company also announced that its list price of rimmed wire rod will be unchanged at NT$18,400 per ton. Also, list prices for wire rods for blast furnaces will be NT$ 18,100 per ton.

Quintain Steel also decided to hold the list prices for the month of April. After adjustment, the list price for A1-killed wire rods will be NT$ 18,500 per ton for the month. The rimmed wire rod list prices will continue to remain at NT$ 17,500 per ton during April this year.

Meantime, Taiwanese Feng Hsin had earlier decided to hold its wire rod, bar prices. According to the company, base price for SAE 1008 A1-killed steel wire rod for the month of April this year will be kept unchanged at NT$ 18,200 per ton. Also, the base price of S45C round bar wire rod for the month will remain at NT$ 18,900 per ton.
