Taiwan scrap import prices may rise slightly this week

The quote of the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan are at US$399~US$405/ton C&F this week, remaining flat from a week earlier.

TAIPEI (Scrap Monster): The quote of the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan are at US$399~US$405/ton C&F this week, remaining flat from a week earlier.
However, it's predicted that the actual transaction prices might rise slightly by US$1~US$2/ton this week from US$395/ton C&F in a week ago.
It's known that the sharply surged scrap prices in the US domestic market in August have boosted the export quotes. The US scrap export quotes have soared by US$20~US$30/ton recently.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese steel mills' currently purchase the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) with transaction prices of US$400~US$405/ton C&F.
