Taiwan scrap import prices may increase this week

The quotes of the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) tp Taiwan might rise to US$365/ton C&F this week and the transaction prices might be at US$358~US$360/ton C&F.

TAIPEI (Scrap Monster): The quotes of the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) tp Taiwan might rise to US$365/ton C&F this week and the transaction prices might be at US$358~US$360/ton C&F.
In fact, the foreign scrap suppliers have turned to offer prices to South Korean and Southeast Asian markets last week as Taiwanese steelmakers' bid prices were too low.
At present, South Korean steelmakers purchased the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) with prices of US$360/ton C&F. Vietnamese buyers purchased the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) with prices of US$370~US$375/ton C&F.
Therefore, it's predicted that the quotes of the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan might increase to US$365/ton C&F and the actual transaction prices might be at US$358~US$360/ton C&F.
