Spanish recycling firm to receive bulk CRT waste from the US

ALBANY (Scrap Monster):  The Spanish Camacho Recycling has entered into agreement with US firms to take in increased quantities of CRT waste during 2015. The company is expected to receive nearly 70,000 tons of CRT glass from the US in 2015.

According to the company spokesperson, there has been an increased demand from the European ceramic tile industry for panel and funnel glass. The company is a major supplier of CRT glass to the region’s ceramic industry. The shipped volumes of CRT glass from the US have risen sharply during the previous year and are expected to rise further in 2015. Additionally, CRT tonnages are expected to arrive from Canada too.

The presentation made by Camacho Recycling during the E-Scrap Conference held last October had received widespread recognition and acceptance. The company has remained successful in offering competitive price to US firms, despite being far away from US processors. The Georgetown, Kentucky-based Global Environmental Services has already signed an agreement with the Spanish firm, whereby the CRT monitors collected through the governmental contract will be shipped to Camacho.

Founded in late 60’s Camacho Recycling, SL is a family business that is engaged in recycling of glass of all types. The company has diversified and expanded at a fast pace with state-of-the-art facilities and technologies to processes approximately 130,000 tons of glass per annum. It collects and recycles glass for industrial applications.
