PIRTEK Announces Opening its Bolingbrook, Chicago facility

SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): The new PIRTEK Bolingbrook has opened for business in the Chicago metro area. Less than a mile from Interstate 55, this is the fourth area PIRTEK franchise for owner Ken Adair. The new Service & Supply Center at 181 Crossroads Parkway in the suburb of Bolingbrook employs eight and features five Mobile Service Vehicles.

Adair, a longtime PIRTEK franchisee, said his new location is well-situated to attract business in that area. “We’re in a large industrial park with some manufacturing,” said Adair. “There’s plenty of growth there. It’s also an advantage that this location is so easily accessible.”

The only franchise of its kind in the United States, PIRTEK provides hydraulic and industrial hose replacement sales and services. PIRTEK’s highly trained technicians eliminate downtime by performing maintenance services onsite when a hydraulic or pneumatic hose failure occurs. There are 70 PIRTEK franchises and a fleet of Mobile Service Vehicles throughout the United States. Globally, PIRTEK has more than 400 locations and 2,000 Mobile Service Vehicles in 23 countries.

Adair began launching PIRTEK franchises in the Windy City nearly two decades ago. PIRTEK O’Hare in Elk Grove Village opened in 1998, PIRTEK South Holland in 2004 and PIRTEK McKinley Park in 2013.

“I believe in the concept,” Adair said. “Getting onsite fast, that’s our niche. We get people moving again, back to producing. There’s a need for our services out there. Our growth is proof of that need.”

PIRTEK Bolingbrook’s customer base is made up largely of manufacturing and construction. Warehouses should also be a frequent source of business, he said, as forklifts and other material handling equipment often need servicing.

Adair said that the customer reception he’s received from his other Chicago-area locations has been outstanding and bodes well for the Bolingbrook center’s success. “Customers regularly tell us we saved the day for them,” he said. “They’re amazed that we got the job done—and their equipment up and running again—so quickly.”

As a successful PIRTEK franchisee, Adair said that the desire to help people and provide optimal service on a consistent basis has been key in operating his businesses. “We strive to get it done right, because our last job determines whether we get the next one,” he said.
