Paper+ 2014 calls for expansion of paper recycling efforts

MUMBAI (Scrap Monster): The third edition of Paper+- The India Paper Show was held from November 7th to 9th at the Chennai Trade Center in the South Indian city of Chennai. The three day exhibition-cum-conference event was inaugurated by Pramod Agarwal, President, Indian Agro and Recycled Paper Mills (IARPMA) and was attended by industry delegates from across the globe.

The exhibition was organized with the aim of reaching out to small and medium sized paper mill in Southern India in helping them identify strategic partnerships to upgrade their existing technology. The Paper+ 2014 helped in providing international exposure to regional business facilities.

As part of the exhibition, a technical conference on Paper, Pulp and Allied Industry was held 7th Nov on the theme “Recycling-The Future of Paper Industry”. The conference was jointly organized by IARPMA and Paper India. The session also featured wide-ranging discussions on Indian Paper Industry, Recycled Fibres and latest technologies for processing Recycled Fibres.

A World Paper Congress on “Globalising the Indian Paper Industry: Looking Beyond 2020” was organized by World Paper Forum on 8th and 9th. A special session on “Paper is green and environment friendly” by the Federation of Paper Traders Association was also held on 9 November.
