Ontario hikes Tractor tire recycling fees considerably

The Province of Ontario has hiked the recycling charges of Tractor tires in a big way. The revised charges are with effect from April 1st, as per the provincial administration.

OTTAWA (Scrap Monster) : The Province of Ontario has hiked the recycling charges of Tractor tires in a big way. The revised charges are with effect from April 1st, as per the provincial administration.

The fee increase is massive. In some cases tires that used to cost $15 to recycle will cost anywhere up to $352. For an average set of tractor tires, the price goes from $15.25 per tire to between $117 and $352. Recycling fees for extremely large off-road tires have gone up from $250 per tire to over $1300.

The chart below shows the different classifications of tires and their corresponding TSF for tires supplied on or after April 1st, 2013.
