CANBERRA (Scrap Monster): According to latest data published by World Steel Association, the crude steel production by Oceania region recovered during the month of December ‘14 year-on-year. The production climbed higher by 5% year-on-year during the month
The total crude steel production by Australia during December last year was 391,000 tonnes, up 6.1% when compared with the production of 368,000 tonnes during same month the year before. New Zealand produced 80,000 tonnes of crude steel, slightly higher by 0.2% when compared with the production of 79,000 tonnes achieved during December 2013.
The total crude steel production by Australia during November last year was 315,000 tonnes, down 17.1% when compared with the production of 380,000 tonnes during same month in 2013. New Zealand produced 75,000 tonnes of crude steel, slightly lower by 3.5% when compared with the production of 77,000 tonnes achieved during Nov ‘13.
