New e-waste recycling service launched for businesses

ALBANY (Scrap Monster): Clancy Relocation & Logistics has launched Pureland-a new e-waste recycling service for businesses in NJ, NY and CT. A consortium is being developed towards nation-wide expansion of the service.

The low cost solution towards responsible recycling of electronic waste is being developed in partnership with Geodis. The stringent e-waste management process is capable of handling smaller scale e-waste in the most responsible and environment-friendly manner.

Clancy has organized several events in the region including an e-waste collection event in the annual exhibition event, WEXPO. Since then, the company has introduced the Pureland e-waste recycling service to several customers by offering regular weekly pickups. Going forward, Pureland consortium will be developed in cities around the US, by offering periodic clean-up of business e-waste. The company aims to handle all e-waste in the most appropriate and proper manner.

According to rough estimates, around 25-50 million metric tons of electronic waste is disposed of across the world every year. Only a small portion of it is recycled. Discarded electronics are often collected and sent to overseas locations where they are recycled using primitive techniques. This eventually leads to environmental pollution and serious health risks.

Clancy Relocation & Logistics provides residential and commercial services ranging from household moves to more complex commercial relocations. Clancy has over a 90 year history in the New York and Connecticut region and provides services globally to its customers.
