Market Update-Apr 16th, 2015: North American copper scrap prices rise sharply

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices rose sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on April 16^th, Thursday.

Alternator prices increased by $0.01 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.05 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.05 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright also went higher by $ 0.05 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery and #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery went higher by $0.03 and $0.02 per Lb respectively from the previous day. The prices of #3 Copper-Light copper were up by $ 0.04 per Lb.

The prices of Cu Yokes and Copper Transformer Scrap appreciated by $0.01 per Lb on April 16^th.

Copper Radiator prices were up by $0.02 per Lb at $1.74 per Lb.

Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices were up by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

The price of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe increased by $0.01 each.

Heater Cores prices rose by $0.02 per Lb. Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices too appreciated by $0.01 per Lb.

Romex Wire prices moved higher by $0.03 per Lb over the previous day.

Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, and Xmas Lights saw marginal up move of $0.01 per Lb each.

Starter prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb.
