Market Update: 28th Aug, 2014- North American copper scrap prices declined

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on August 28^th , Thursday.

Alternator prices declined by $0.01 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing slipped by $0.05 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.05 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright also went lower by $ 0.05 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery declined by $0.02 per Lb. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were down by $0.01 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices dropped by $0.04 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator witnessed a down move of $0.02 per Lb.

Copper Transformer scrap, Cu Yokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends price remained unchanged over the day.

Meanwhile, the price of Romex Wire declined by $0.02 per Lb on August 28^th.

Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices declined by $0.02 per Lb each.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery witnessed no change over the day.

Heater Core prices were down by $0.02 per Lb.

Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights saw no daily variation in prices.
