London Metal Exchange (LME) copper fell on Wednesday, ending four days of gains, as weak data from Europe and China reinforced concerns about the outlook for industrial metal demand despite recent efforts by central banks to stimulate economic growth.
LONDON (Scrap Monster): London Metal Exchange (LME) copper fell on Wednesday, ending four days of gains, as weak data from Europe and China reinforced concerns about the outlook for industrial metal demand despite recent efforts by central banks to stimulate economic growth.
Copper prices on LME metal market moved down to $8275.50 a metric ton (mt) on Wednesday from $8338/ mt previously. All other metal prices also ended in red on LME market on Wednesday.
LME Price Highlights:
--Aluminium alloy declined 1.53% to $1920 a metric ton
--Aluminium declined 1.64% to $2103.50 per metric ton
--Copper dipped 0.74% to $8275.50 a metric ton
--Lead slipped 0.9% to $2293 per metric ton
--Nickel declined 1.14% to $18615 per metric ton
--Tin fell 0.24% to $22050 per metric ton
--Zinc dipped 1.97% to $2055.50 a metric ton
– Steel remain unchanged at $335 per metric ton
