Live bomb found in a Malaysian Scrap Metals Facility, destroyed

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): A live bomb was found lying in a pile of scrap metal at a scrap metals processing facility in Bukit Raja industrial area, Malaysia. The bomb was destroyed in time, thereby avoiding a possible disaster.

An auxiliary police officer, who spotted the suspicious material, reported the incident to police at 9.30 AM. Khusrin Samingan identified the 30 centimeter long metal piece in blue color to be from an explosive. The bomb squad from Selangor Police arrived at the scene and conducted the investigation.

It was discovered that only the body and content of the bomb was available and its detonator was missing. The bomb was immediately taken to a nearby village, where it was destroyed.

As per initial investigation report by Klang Utara police, the bomb was manufactured in the US, which was later shipped along with scrap metals to Carey Islands. From there it was transported to the factory in a trailer.

There are no injuries, the police confirmed.
