Kyrgyzstan Gold exports revenue dip 84% y-o-y in first half of 2012

BISHKEK (Scrap Monster): Kyrgyzstan gold exports revenue dropped sharply by 84.9% year-on-year to $636.1 million in the half of this year, according to data provided by Ministry of Economic Affairs and Antitrust Policy (MEAP) with reference to the National Statistics Committee.

“Decrease in export gross volume from January to May 2012 is caused by reduction of gold supplies in 2.3 times following a decline in gold production,” said in the Ministry.

Meanwhile import volume increased by 1.4 times and reached $1.9 billion from January to May 2012 y-o-y.
