Japanese H2 scrap witness sixth straight week of losses

TOKYO (Scrap Monster): The average price of Japanese H2 scrap continued to drop during the second week of August. This is the sixth straight week of losses for Japanese H2 scrap.

The average price of Japan H2 scrap in Kanto, Central and Kansai region was ¥ 31,019/ton during the second week of August. The prices decreased by ¥ 11/ton from the previous week. The prices had averaged at ¥ 31,030/ton during the first week of the month.

The average price of H2 scrap in Kanto region was ¥ 31,667/ton. The average price in Kanto region was up by ¥ 167/ton over the previous week.

The average H2 scrap price in Central region was ¥ 29,140/ton. The average prices declined by ¥ 200/ton when compared with the prior week prices.

The H2 scrap average prices held steady in Kansai regions. The average price of H2 scrap in Kansai region during the second week of August was ¥ 32,250/ton, flat when compared with previous week prices.

Industry experts expect the scrap prices to remain under pressure in the forthcoming weeks as well.
