Japan H2 scrap export prices continue decline

TOKYO (Scrap Monster): Japan's H2 scrap export prices have continued decline to JPY 24,000/ton FOB after Tokyo Steel reduced its scrap purchasing for several times in September.

Tokyo Steel reduced its scrap purchasing prices for consecutive seven times in September. At present, its H2 scrap purchasing prices are at JPY 22,500~JPY 25,500/ton averagely.

It's learned that the Japanese H2 scrap export quotes to the Taiwan have fallen to US$345/ton C&F, making the Taiwanese steel mills expected the price cut in the US scraps.

Currently, the prices of the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan are at US$360/ton C&F while the Taiwanese steelmakers are expecting for US$350/ton C&F.
