Jan 27th, 2015: Scrap Gold, Silver and Platinum market update

ALBANY (Scrap Monster): The daily scrap gold prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked declined Tuesday, 27^th January on the ScrapMonster Price Index. The prices of Platinum scrap remained unchanged over the previous day, while Silver scrap prices appreciated marginally.

In the Hallmarked category, the 14 carat gold scrap prices were down by $ 1.28 per Oz. The prices of 18 carat and 22 carat gold scrap inched lower by $ 1.63 and $ 2.00 per Oz respectively.9 carat gold scrap also went lower by $ 0.82 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap remained flat at $915.78 per Oz. Silver scrap prices increased marginally by $0.04 per Oz.

In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14 carat gold scrap prices edged lower by $ 1.21 per Oz. The prices of 18 carat and 22 carat gold scrap were down $ 1.55 and $ 1.89 per Oz respectively. 9 carat gold scrap also was down $ 0.78 per Oz. Platinum scrap prices remained unchanged from the previous day. Meantime, Non-hallmarked silver scrap prices were up slightly by $ 0.03 per Oz.
