Indian gold retailer set to open Dubai's largest jewelry outlet

ABU DHABI (Scrap Monster): Indian jewelry retailer, Malabar Gold and Diamonds, is all set to open its new outlet in Dubai Gold Souq. This will be the largest jewelry outlet in entire Dubai, sprawling over 9,500 square feet. The inauguration of the showroom is to be held on 20^th December. The new outlet will have massive stock of gold ornaments, five to six times more than what normal jewelry outlets usually have.

The new showroom offers traditional as well as contemporary designs of gold jewelry in 24, 22, 21 and 18-carat. While normal jewelry outlets stock 50 to 60 kilograms of gold ornaments, Malabar Gold’s new outlet will have nearly 600 kilograms of ornaments in wide variety of designs. The staff includes people from 10 countries, capable to effectively communicate in 31 different languages. One floor of the multi-storey building is exclusively reserved for customers from GCC countries. Another floor is dedicated to serve wholesale customers.

The outlet also offers various other attractions. Among the display is a golden replica of Burj Khalifa in 18 carat gold weighting 22.65 kg and a 16-kilogram giant gold bar in 24 carat. The showroom also displays a golden attire that weighs just over a kilogram. According to Shamlal Ahmed, Managing Director, Malabar Gold and Diamonds, the golden replica of Burj Khalifa will not be put up for sale owing to some restrictions from the original designer of the skyscraper.
