LONDON (Scrap Monster) : The fire that broke out at the storage yard of the Tamworth, Staffordshire based Boomerang Plastics- specialists in recycling contaminated plastic waste, has been brought under control. No casualty is reported so far.

The fire broke out around 4 pm Thursday at the facility’s storage yard. Fire brigade from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the spot. The fire caused disruption of rail service on the West Coast Rail Line.

According to company spokesperson, the other areas of the site are running smoothly. Efforts are on to make the site fully operational at the earliest.
