BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The average export price of rare earth from China’s Inner Mongolia fell by 34.8% year-on-year to 45,000 yuan per tonne ($7,311 per tonne) in the first eight months, and exports from the region also declined, China News Service reported.
Inner Mongolia exported 2,770.2 tonnes of rare earth from January to August, off by 18.3% from the same period last year, with their value down 45.8% to 130 million yuan.
Exports from Baotou City declined 16.5% in the first eight months to 2,582.5 tonnes, making up 93.2% of the Inner Mongolia’s total exports.
