ERI partners with LG to arrange special e-waste collection event in Hawaii

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Electronic Recyclers International (ERI) has decided to conduct a special e-waste collection event in Honolulu this weekend. The event is being organized in partnership with LG Electronics USA.

The event is expected to provide brilliant opportunity for Hawaiians to participate in responsible recycling by disposing used electronics. According to ERI, the event is aimed to reduce the amount of electronic waste ending up in landfills.

The free e-waste collection event is scheduled to be held at Kaimuki High School, 2705 Kaimuki Avenue in Honolulu on Saturday November 22nd 9 AM to 1 PM.

The public are urged to make use of this opportunity to unload their unwanted electronic devices. The event is sponsored by LG Electronics. All the goods collected during the event will be safely recycled in ERI’s USA facilities. The accepted items include computers, televisions and mobile phone devices.

LG USA stated that they are thrilled to partner with ERI to promote environmental sustainability efforts by ERI. It also called upon consumers to replace their old computers and monitors with ENERGYSTAR certified devices in order to save energy and fight climate change.

Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the world’s largest privately held recycler of electronic waste, is e-Stewards and R2 certified to de-manufacture and recycle every type of electronic waste in an environmentally friendly manner. ERI processes more than 275 million pounds of electronic waste annually at eight locations serving every zip code in the United States.
