ERI launches new hi-tech consolidation facility in New Jersey

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Fresno, California headquartered ERI- the nation’s leading electronics waste recycler has announced the launch of its new state-of-the-art consolidation facility in New Jersey. The new facility will occupy 53,500 square foot and will be located on 510, Ryerson Road in Lincoln Park. The facility will currently be utilized as a high-tech consolidation center, but will soon be converted to full-service electronics waste processing facility.

John S. Shegerian, Chairman and CEO of ERI noted that the company is excited to launch its New Jersey operation at such an ideal location. The new location meets the strictest standards of environmental and operational excellence and will enable the company to enhance its services across every zip code in the US. The new location joins ERI’s other facilities located in California, Colorado, Indiana, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Texas and Washington.

According to Shegerian, all ERI facilities conform to the highest standards of environmental and operational excellence. The company is committed to proper data destruction of a wide variety of devices including computers, laptops, cell phones and other electronics devices handled by it.

The facility was leased to ERI by the Stro Companies (Stro). Steven Millstein, President of Stro, stated that it is proud to add ERI to its list of tenants. He applauded ERI’s various initiatives and projects that contribute to creation of more effective and sustainable future. The partnership will help both the companies to make significant input to New Jersey’s ever-growing economy, Millstein added.

As part of expanding its portfolio beyond electronics recycling, Electronics Recyclers International had recently rebranded itself into ERI. The company had announced expansion of its services to include more services such as recommerce, recovery, reporting and regulatory guidelines. It must be noted that the company had not been confined to recycling services over the past few years. Instead, it had expanded itself into a company offering multiple services. While announcing the name change, the company had noted that it has achieved tremendous growth in capabilities during the past several years.

In November 2016, the company had announced that its Texas facility has obtained AAA certification from the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID), making it the fifth location to get certified by NAID. The Colorado, California, Indiana and Massachusetts facilities had received the certification before. The other ERI facilities are currently undergoing certification procedures and are expected to become NAID certified before end-January this year.
