Electronic Recyclers International wins Colorado 'Gold Leader' award

DENVER (Scrap Monster): The nation’s leading electronic waste recycler-Electronics Recyclers International (ERI) was presented with the prestigious ‘Gold Leader’ award by the Colorado Public Health and Environment’s Environmental Leadership Program (ELP). This is the third time that ERI has achieved ‘Gold Leader’ status in Colorado. The title is the highest level of distinction offered by the Program.

The ELP is a voluntary program, within the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), designed to recognize and reward organizations and businesses that demonstrate superior environmental performance.

The mission of the Environmental Leadership Program is to define superior environmental performance through collaboration and innovation among our diverse membership, with the purpose of creating a healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable Colorado.

ERI in a press release stated that they are proud to have achieved the top honor. This reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to sustainability efforts. The award is in recognition of the comprehensive and fully functional Environmental management System in place, it added.

ERI, the world’s largest privately held recycler of electronic waste, is e-Stewards and R2 certified to de-manufacture and recycle every type of electronic waste in an environmentally responsible manner. ERI processes more than 275 million pounds of electronic waste annually at eight locations serving every zip code in the United States.
