Classic Minerals Start Nickel Drilling at Fraser Region

CANBERRA (Scrap Monster): ASX listed Classic Minerals has started a deep nickel drilling program at Fraser region of Western Australia. The drilling is focused on its A17 discovery, which is located 60km away from Sirius Resources and Bollinger copper-nickel sulphide exploration site.

In the month of May, the company has done a high power electromagnetic survey on the site. Based on the significant result from the survey, Classic Minerals decided to start the drilling program. The survey result showed the presence of 1km long conductor. It stated that the conductive target would extend from 40 meters to at least 500 meters below the Hole A17.

Another three new conductors were also discovered at depth and this was found to be extended to over 8km in strike. The identified conductive targets will be drilled to depth of 200 meters and then to about deep 400 meters with diamond core. Geochemical survey will also conduct for identifying the possible anomalies at surface.

Classic Minerals will conduct downhole electromagnetic survey in all drilled holes in order to detect the presence of conductor up to 200 meters along strike and also up to 100 meters both vertically and horizontally. The drilling program will be completed in August end.

Classic Minerals project areas are all situated in the Eastern Goldfields, Murchison and Fraser Range districts of Western Australia, close to the towns of Kalgoorlie and Meekatharra. The company is valued at about $9 million.
